Police in Brampton, Ontario, are investigating after a body was discovered inside a shed following a fire on Thursday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the scene after reports of a shed fire in a residential area.
Fire Reported on Aloma Crescent
Peel Regional Police said they received reports of a shed on fire on Aloma Crescent, near Avondale Boulevard and Bramalea Road, at about 3:45 p.m.
Brampton Fire and Emergency Services and Peel Paramedic Services also attended the scene.
Body Found After Fire Was Extinguished
Fire crews quickly put out the flames.
During a search of the shed after the fire was extinguished, firefighters found a body inside.
Brampton Fire said the fire was contained to the shed and did not spread further.

Police Say No Clear Sign of Foul Play
Peel police spokesperson Const. Tyler Bell-Morena told reporters Thursday evening that there was nothing “overtly” indicating foul play.
He said police believe the person found was male.
Bell-Morena added that officers treat every unexplained death as suspicious until evidence shows otherwise.
Fire Marshal and Coroner to Attend
Ontario’s Office of the Fire Marshal is expected to attend the scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
The Ontario coroner will also attend as part of the investigation.
Police Presence Expected in Area
Police said residents should expect officers to remain in the area for some time while the investigation continues.
Authorities are still working to determine what led to the fire and the person’s death.
